Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 certified on Learjet 60 XR
ORLANDO (October 16, 2006) - Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics recently received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certification
(STC) on the new Bombardier* Learjet 60 XR* business jet. The installation was completed by Rockwell Collins' certification
center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Pro Line 21 integrated avionics package for the Learjet 60 XR includes four 8-inch x 10-inch LCD displays. Other Rockwell
Collins content includes the Pro Line 21 Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) radios; dual FMS-5000 flight management
systems; solid state weather radar; and Rockwell Collins Integrated Flight Information Systems (IFIS).
The advanced features of Rockwell Collins IFIS include electronic charts included in the baseline aircraft, with optional
graphical weather and enhanced maps overlays. A second IFIS system is also available as optional equipment to enable paperless
operations.
Launched in November 2005, the Learjet 60 XR aircraft retains the combination of value and high-speed performance, while adding
a state-of-the-art avionics suite and a redesigned cabin. These features, together with legendary Learjet 60 performance attributes
- best in class time to climb, impressive cruise speed and low operating costs - raise the bar for the midsize jet category.
