Rockwell Collins Introduces Airshow 21 for Business Aircraft Company Offers Complete Cabin Electronics Systems Portfolio

ORLANDO (September 10, 2003) - Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL) is introducing Airshow 21, a total cabin electronics solution for business aircraft. The system is on display at the National Business Aviation Association conference and exhibition.

Building on the success of Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated avionics system and adding the complementary capabilities of Airshow, Collins Airshow 21 offers business aircraft operators a complete line of cabin electronics systems and products. These range from moving map displays and SATCOM high-speed data systems to fully-integrated cabin electronics and management systems. In addition, Airshow 21 offers information content services including news, weather, sports and entertainment programming delivery.

"Collins Airshow 21 is a natural extension of Rockwell Collins' avionics system integration expertise, positioning us to become a premier provider of cabin electronics systems," said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems. "Our portfolio of cabin electronics systems and solutions can be tailored to meet each customer's individual requirements for performance, flexibility and growth."

Collins Airshow 21 integrated systems are based on a flexible, digital communications backbone for ease of installation, reliability and growth to advanced functionality. The advanced capabilities of the system enable passengers to remain productive, be entertained and manage their cabin environment.

For passengers interested in staying productive, Airshow 21 enables the Global Office with reliable air-to-ground data connectivity for secure, high-speed access to e-mail, the Internet and videoconferencing. The system also provides interfaces for file sharing and standard office equipment including printers, fax machines and scanners. An advanced local area network (LAN) allows multiple users to access the system including connectivity to ground-based networks. The system can be enhanced through the addition of a wireless LAN, permitting users to maintain network connections while moving about the aircraft.

Operators can select a system that allows Internet browsing, or can elect to store packaged information such as news, weather and sports in an onboard file server updated regularly using the aircraft's SATCOM system or a ground-based phone system. The addition of high-speed data link capabilities using Inmarsat's Swift64 service will further enhance the speed at which this data can be exchanged.

Collins Airshow 21 entertainment features allow passengers to select and control numerous sources, including multiple VCRs, DVD players, satellite TV and multi-disc CD changers. The system is designed to support advanced capabilities such as audio/video-on-demand. Supporting the total solution, Collins Airshow 21 includes real-time news, information, weather and entertainment content from a variety of sources including the Collins Airshow Network, satellite TV systems, and, as AVOD becomes available, digital movie and audio content, tailored to meet passenger's requirements.

Collins Airshow 21 also provides passengers and crew the ability to manage the various environmental systems in the cabin, galley and lavatory, including temperature, lighting, water and more. The system interfaces with various controls and indicators throughout the cabin, providing convenient and easy operation.
